These are the rules for this board. They are short on purpose: you should be able to answer "can I list this?" in thirty seconds.

How to add a promotion

1. Enter one website, mobile app store URL, or X handle. 2. Select one category or all open categories. 3. Set the promotion total for that position. 4. Complete checkout. The payment updates the sponsored total and rank.

What this board is

SeeRanks is a promotional discovery platform where companies purchase advertising placement. Products are ordered by their cumulative promotion spend. Every purchase provides ongoing sponsored placement.

How the ranking works

Promotion amounts use whole units of the board's currency.
A minimum first promotion and fixed amount steps apply.
The sponsored total decides Sponsored Rank. The highest total is #1.
A lower total still gets the available sponsored position.
Equal totals stay in the order they were placed. The older total keeps the higher rank.
A promoted listing link is sponsored advertising placement.

How category ranking works

One listing can hold sponsored positions in several categories.
The category and full board use separate rank orders.
Each category position has its own sponsored total.
A category payment raises that category total and the overall total.
A payment in one category does not raise another category total.
An overall-only payment raises only the overall total.
Each category can have a different rank-one target.
An all-category checkout adds the exact required difference for each open category.
A category that the listing already leads adds zero to that checkout.
One checkout creates one payment and one allocation for each funded category.
A highlighted category badge means the selected amount can currently reach #1.
A category quote does not reserve a rank before payment settles.
A listing click counts in each active category that contains the listing.

Increasing a promotion

Enter the same URL or @handle and select a rank scope.
You pay only the difference for that scope.
A category payment also adds its payment amount to the overall total.
The overall total is the sum of all completed promotion payments for the product.
An all-category payment adds its full charge to the overall total once.
Two people promoting the same site raise the same listing rather than creating two.
Anyone may promote a public listing. A promotion adds to that product's sponsored total.

What you may list

A product website, a public App Store page, a public Google Play page, or an X @handle.
One listing per website, app store identity, or X handle. A repeat promotion raises the same listing.

What is refused

Chat and invite links. Telegram, WhatsApp, Discord, Messenger, Signal and similar. A board is a directory of destinations, and an invite is a door into a room nobody can see before walking in.
Sexual content. If it is porn, NSFW, or an adult platform, it does not belong here.
Link shorteners. Submit one and it is replaced by the URL it redirects to.
Query parameters are stripped. Affiliate, referral and tracking URLs will not work.

What happens after you pay

Your listing is public.
Clicks go to the URL or profile you submitted, with the board's own utm_source added so you can see the traffic in your own analytics.
A completed payment updates Sponsored Rank. A preview does not reserve it.
Your title, description and icon are read from your own page. Change them there and ask SeeRanks to refresh.

Moderation

SeeRanks may hide or refuse any listing. Payment does not buy immunity from the rules above.
